Is this the "Aluminum look" or plastic with Aluminum paint gas cap? or made of billeted Aluminum? Just curious as a gas cap made of Aluminum with the Porsche logo would be nice!

It's not painted plastic, the cover of the cap is actually covered with a thin layer of Aluminum like shown below in the picture you get a better sense of it. Also included is a tether, that the picture doesn't represent for some reason.

Petroleum is the english (sorry English) way of saying gasoline.

Gas covers hydrogen, helium, oxygen, xenon... also vague.

Actually, I'd expect to see "Bleifrei" or "Super Bleifrei"

The tether, I do not want to install it unless needed, it is not my Daily Driver so I only fill up every 2 weeks or so.

I already do that, has to be perfect and the good thing is that is just where it lands when it is tight.

Doesn't Porsche translate most nomenclature to American English when they sell a car here?

Several countries in the E.U. have their own names for fuel. In England, the most common is "petrol"...in Italy, "benzina", etc. In the U.S. (E.C.S.'s main market), "petroleum" is used to refer to everything from raw crude oil to Vaseline. Mightn't the generic "FUEL" have been a better choice?

Now that's very nice...and it solves the whole problem.

Pretty sure that neither the plastic one (Porsche) or the aluminum one (Petroleum) come with a tether - you reuse the existing tether.

Thanks - does the Porsche cap click when tightened? Last thing I'd want is a CEL from a loose gas cap.
