Thanks for the input guys! This thread has convinced me to go with the painted console look. Unfortunately this was only after I bought a new leather console and assorted other leather interior pieces!

Guess I'll pay the cost for being indecisive!

Too bad your leather pieces aren't beige, otherwise I would've taken them off your hands buddy. I actually prefer the leather look.

My leather console still looks great since having it done over 1 1/2 years ago. Hope yours does too.

over time, does the color 'match' any better? or close enough overall to be pretty much the same regardless of time.

thank you.

Mine had a very good color match right from the start, and has remained that way. The texture is slightly less smooth than factory leather, but close enough for me, and still looks a whole lot better than the cheap plastic console with scratches on it.

It's roughly $500 for a new center console and roughly $600 for classic 9 to upholster it in leather. Am guessing to get one painted would probably be half the price.

dont forget to factor in 2 way shipping (maybe some duties) and exchange rate.

i think ive seen the painting option re eric-bumper plugs is 500$ to paint the console.

I have always used painted center consoles but the leather does look good as well.
