Yes, this is another "i got a 911". But just wanted to say i am a BIG fan of the forum and have learnt heaps of stuff from just watching and reading posts from all the members. I have been looking for a 997 911 for about 6 months here in Sydney, Australia. Unfortunately prices for these cars are still quite expensive as compared to you folks in the states and so my budget only stretched to a 997.1

I ended up purchasing an '07 C2S 2 weeks ago and have had it home for the past week. I bought it from a non porsche dealer and had a PPI done through a local porsche dealer and passed without any issues.

It is Atlas Grey in colour with the following options:

18000kms on the clock
Triptronic gear box
19 inch Xrr wheels
Park sensors
Memory seats

Since having it, it is an ABSOLUTE blast to drive and i could not think of driving anything else. Though i have begun to get paranoid when parking the car and keep on circling car parks for the "right" spot......

Really looking forward to learning more about the car and beginning to do my own oil changes and lots of DIY as they come to hand.

Cheers

Tuan

Congrats on the realized dream... those pics of Atlas Grey almost look black. Very clean looking example of a 997. BTW, after 2 yrs of ownership I'm still circling the parking lot for the perfect spot... welcome to the club. As an FYI... we have an index of the various DIY's our forum members have posted over the years to help with those types of projects. Of course, if you find the forum helpful then I would encourage you to subscribe as a member as well. https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...ech-index.html

Wow! Looks very clean. As you mentioned, it passed the PPI with a breeze, so sounds like this is a very fine example of an early 997. Nice color (colour, in your language) and wheels combo!

You sure that's not a kit car? The inside seems backwards.

Actually, congrats! It's a fun dream.

I'm still circling the parking lot two years later as well.
