Default New steering wheel from Dallas custom

Great product. Craftsmanship is every bit as good as oem imo but the leather and thickness is a big improvement over the wimpy stock wheel.

Very nice. That is probably one of the best available steering wheel mods for the money.

Awesome. Best looking wheel for the 997.

Wonder if they make the same wheel without the paddles? I'd be very tempted.

I agree. It's $1,009 without core exchange. Take about $400 off with core exchange which has to be the exact same stock wheel. My PDK wheel with buttons was rejected and is stored in the garage now. Still, well worth the money..... at least to me it is. Unlike a lot of other mods, this one is in your face and in your hands every time you get in the car.

I love it, I would more than likely want to keep my core because it is heated.

This is on my list, but I have spent enough for a while.

Looks Great, thank you for sharing!!!

Don of Dallas Custom has provided me with a price. His communications so far has been fantastic. I will definitely be going with him for my steering wheel upgrade. Sandwedge, thanks for this thread.

Is dallas custom also known as dct motorsports? That's the only other company besides techart that I know of that is doing custom porsche steering wheels.

Yeah same here. Business has been slow for me and I've been buying a lot of detailing stuff so the boss has ordered me to stop buying and if possible, sell anything that I have multiple items.

Sure. When you get ready to spend again (if you're like me, you won't take much of a break) this is really a worthwhile and rewarding mod. As stated earlier, you're looking right at it and holding it in your hands every time you get in the car.

Great guy to deal with. Fast too. He built the wheel in 3 days and I had it a week after placing the order. And remember that you design and he builds to your specs. You can add carbon fiber, GT3 strip on top, perforated or regular and on it goes. No affiliation btw.

Is this the 1/16" or 1/8" padding? It looks quite thick.

Although, is that sport style steering wheel thicker to begin with over say the batwing sport style 997.2 wheel?

Somebody asked the same question on 6-speed. As I told him, I don't know for sure but I have to think this is 1/8" since it's plenty fat. It's just right and any fatter would be too much, at least for my likes.
