Default Rough idle. Should I be concerned?

Went for a drive in my 06 C4S today. It hadn't been out of the garage in about a month due to snow and salt. When I started it up it had a rough idle and the check engine light came on. I turned the car off, waited a few seconds and started it up again. It ran fine, idled smooth and no check engine light. Anything I should worry about or just drive on? Thanks.

There might be a stored code that the can tell you/dealer what happened. Maybe just a stuck valve from sitting. If it were me, I'd just enjoy it

If you ask me you had a misfire.
I would read the code for free at the local parts store and post it here.
Put some fresh gas in it too,the one that's been sitting is not good.

i think pep boys will read codes for free and i'm sure there's a host of other places that will do it free, you just have to ask. i think you can also buy a cheap reader and do it yourself. there is a port to plug into under the driver dash, left side. it takes 2 seconds.

then just post the code on here. a few of us have code files/descriptions that will (hopefully) give an idea of what the issue is and how to test further to verify.

The link below lists all the Porsche OBDII codes and if you click on them individually will explain the code and the potential causes. Worth bookmarking for future use. In the Technical Resources section you can input a specific code to
get specific info on it. Very handy.

Took the car to an indy shop today. Misfire on cylinders 1 and 5. New plugs and coils. Problem solved. Running great. Also had the filters and oil changed. Got to drive it for the first time in snow today too.
