Hi all,

I got on this board a few months ago because I was shopping for my first p-car. Since then, I've pulled the trigger and have been looking at the DIY articles, upgrade options, etc. I will likely remain in lurk mode, but I wanted to thank the board collectively for (1) contributing input on the wide variety of subjects so that us newbies can become better informed, and (2) tolerating the repeated questions.

I bought a guards red 2006 S with 42k miles and have since swapped the orange side markers with clears, powder coated the rims gloss black, and rebadged it with gloss black emblems.

I love the car and now understand what all the hoopla's about with these cars.

Thanks again for making/keeping the information available!

Nice. These cars look great in so many colors. Guards red is one for sure.

Congrats.

Congrats. I've had my 06 C2S cab, with just over 40k miles now, for 3 years and love it every time I get in it. Enjoy that car!

Another Rennlist success story!

Looks like the photo shoot was following a wash - rusty rotors are a dead giveaway. Now get rid of that rust on a nice spirited drive

Very nice combo(red/black).

Congrats! I hope to be a success story as well when I trade in my 987 for a 997.2. Your car looks great!

Enjoy in good health.

Wow! Just wow! I had always considered red a sacrilegious color on a Porsche but every time I see one in red, I love it. Great choice.

Try experimenting with some black stone guards ($65 for the pair at Suncoast) and see if you like? Might be a good addition with those wheels and easy to take off if you don't like.

Great car!

Guilty as charged. In my defense, I did take it to Austin this weekend to watch grand Am racing at COTA. Pretty cool to see, that was my first time watching anything other than 1/4mi drag races live. Took my car onto an 80mph (suggested limit?) road near Austin. Needless to say, the rotors are now rust free.

Thanks! I didn't love it with the silver wheels, but now that they are black I really do.

I might - saw that combo on an older targa but didn't love it. Didn't know it was easy to undo though.
