Both the soap/foam gun and blower are great ideas for regular washes, reduces fine scratches. I use both and as a last step attach a charcoal filter to the hose to purify the water for the final rinse.

I noticed the mitts you're using...OK for tires and wheels, not so much for paint, IMHO.
Since you're obviously obsessed with this, and rightly so, invest in an excellent wool mitt, and only use it on painted surfaces, with the 2 bucket method you're already using.
Looks good!

Thing is...I don't think I am obsessed. I just don't like the swirls! Pretty sure those were mostly a result of the drying towels. The other option is to get a white car instead of blue

Thanks for the opinion. I have seen differing thoughts on this and have seen the wool mitts. Do you have a suggested source?

I use Adam's polishes with my Flex. I like his system of corresponding pads and polishes. White pad = white polish, orange pad = orange polish, etc. It makes sure you're using the correct pad for the polish.
I'm pretty sure I got my wool mitt from him, too. No affiliation other than I attended a detailing seminar he put on at a local performance shop, and not only is he a good guy, but I liked his business philosophy of using USA sources when he can.
web - www.adamspolishes.com
He's in Denver and will ship the same day (usually within hours) of your order.
Side note - maybe try Zaino Z5 - it helps hide swirls on a dark car

Or you're going to need to do paint correction with the polisher. I picked up menzerna polishes and it's great. It's made for german cars.
