Seems like this is perfectly normal then. My 02 C4S did the same thing, and now my 12 GTS is the same. I couldn't figure it out, and thought it was the uneven surface and the car's tight steering.

it's normal - at least for me since day 1.

Same for me. But depends a little on what type of surface you drive on. I think it is related to the very light front of the 911 combined with a bit stickier tyres than a normal commuter car. If the front would have been heavier I think it would judder less.

My understanding is that it's due to the "Ackerman Effect" and is normal. My 987 did this too. See: http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic...or-right-lock/
It has to do with the front geometry and happens on most all of them. It's worse when cold and in reverse.

I had a thread on it as well several months ago. My 06 C4 does it to with summer (PS2) tires. Did not have it with winter (Winter 3D) tires, however. Maybe because winters appear to be softer than PS2 and don't "hop".

I think there are two issues. One being the front wheel is rubbing something and two being the outaded non double jointed design.
My bone stock 08 turbo inside of the wheel with hit a metal piece with the steering fully turned. I noticed the wheel weights will barely touch this metal piece. For example, turning full right and holding the wheel full right, front left inside wheel weights barely touches this metal piece. The feeling is like a slight click doing slow circles.
About 10 years ago Professional RC Car racing companies actually redesigned the steering in their race cars to be double jointed where the wheel turns. It eliminated the normal chatter with full lock sterring.
