Default Fister D exhaust

I have been thinking about an exhaust upgrade for a couple of months now, and have finally decided to get the Fister D exhausts. Has anyone installed these themselves, and do they require an engine tune? Thank You for all your help Rennlist.

Many guys do the install themselves, I chose to have mine done for me. No engine tune changes need to be made.

You will love this.

Here's a good thread with a lot of pics.
One guy pulled his bumper cover, but I think it can be done without doing that.

I went with the "Gundo Hack" which is the same mod that Fister does. Had a local muffler shop do the work. They R&R'd the mufflers without removing the bumper cover, although they did remove the bumper brace that runs behind (or is it in front of ) the side mufflers.

I removed my stock exhaust on my '08 C2S and replaced it with a full FVD exhaust system w/o removing the bumper. Very doable DIY. Go for it and do a write-up while you're at it.

Its 3 bolts per side to remove the cans and 1 per side on the tips. You will need a 13MM socket and 13 mm wrench. I used ramps as it gave me more room under the car. Should take you 15 minutes per side to do the swap if your bolts aren't all rusty. Be happy to walk you through the whole process over the phone once you get your cans. One of the easiest mods and best bang for the buck.
Good Luck

The Fisters sound great, you won't be disappointed!

If you get a shop to do it, at max 1 hour labour, could easily be less.

I purchased a set of Gundo mufflers and did the install myself. it took me about an hour taking my sweet old time. It really is not complicated. Lost of write ups here on how to do it. If you get in too deep, you can always take it somewhere for help. Any half decent mechanic should be able to do it for you.

By the way it sounds fantastic. My 3.6 is a whole new car now.

installed Tubi cans on my 2007 C2S. Fortunately had a rack to use. Job took a couple of hours.....removal of bumper totally unecessary. I can't imagine trying to do it without a lift, however.

By the way - I have the C2S mufflers if anybody wants them. They are just in the way and I still have the boxes the Tubi came in so packing is easy. You could have them sent out for a Gundo hack while using your current system. Somebody offer me $100 for them, + shipping (probably around $75) and they are yours.

Anyone know if C2S mufflers will fit a C2? If so I'm all over these! I'd even come and pick them up.
