What they found
We found the issue; the connector at the PSM module did not have a secured fit which was causing communication faults in the system (lights on dash). So I’m happy to say the vehicle is good to go and ready for pick-up.
Thanks for your patience

my car has this issue, intermittent "PASM Indicator Faulty" code pops up and the car is stuck in sport mode. It usually resets the next time I drive the car. So reading here, it seems it could be the steering wheel sensor, though that seems more linked to PSM failure. So I think it is a connection to the PASM module. So- anyone know where I find this to check the connections?

PASM control box is located in the passenger foot well area, behind the carpet on the right hand side wall. See post #154 in this thread https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...l#post12887824 As a reminder, non-'S' cars do not have PASM and will not have this control box.
It's also unlikely that the connector came loose on its own unless someone had disconnected/reconnected the control box after it left the factory. The connectors are automotive locking grade and rarely come loose by themselves. The only time I've seen connectors like this come loose is after reinstallation and NOT installing it properly.

Does your car still have factory suspension? Could be one of the PASM cables or one of your shocks/struts starting to have a problem. I had this issue, but my cause was because of my improper install of the PASM cables when installing my Bilstein Damptronics. Cable got pinched over time.
Hopefully it's something simple for you. Sport mode on Damptronics on DFW roads can beat you up.

The module connection seems fine. Car is on OEM suspension. Yes- when it gets locked in sport it is no fun on streets. I guess I will have to pull the wheels and inspect the dampers. If that fails I guess I am headed to dealership.
