So, sport mode sounds great with PDK but I've got a 997.2 C4S with PASM / Sport Mode but with a 6 speed transmission. I haven't felt anything with sport mode on.

Anyone care to comment?

I am no expert but sport mode will have more impact with a PDK than with a manual transmission. Sport mode changes both the shifting and and throttle (drive by wire pedal) ECU mapping. Sport mode has a huge impact when driving a PDK and may have subtle impact with a manual.

Had Sport Mode installed today, picked up the car after work and drove home with Sport switched on. Holy s**t ! The car IS ALIVE! Huge improvement, even driving in rush hour traffic. Throttle response and PDK behavior is so different, much easier to drive, no more fighting to keep R's above 1500. Upshifts and downshifts are much closer to where I would have them with a manual 6 spd. Fun factor has returned for me.

Didn't really push it because the streets are damp and wet after 2 weeks of rainy weather. Tried sport+ in manual mode through 1st into 2nd but traffic and street conditions were bad so I backed down.

Bottom line... This is the best performance upgrade I have made with any car I have ever owned. I was so disappointed with this car I was getting ready to trade it away.

Manual is more "engaging" ....PDK is supposed to be "faster"

I can't comment on sport mode with a manual other than sports mode has more impact on a PDK

In an MT, Sport Mode affects throttle response, PSM/PASM, and how the engine is controlled when at the rev limiter.

See the third and fourth post on this thread, then use that chrono you paid extra for to time yourself down the road. I recommend making some sort of circle so that your start point also your stop point (makes timing easier and also you get to throw in some turns on your make-shift course).

New to forum and a 2011 Carrera with PDK and Sports Plus. Does that package include PASM? I thought both Sport and Sport Plus buttons were for PDK (eg, no 7th in Plus), but post above suggested Plus is most useful in M? Which one turns off PASM?
