This was my wife's and my first time attending the event and we had a fantastic time! So much that we will be making plans to come back in the spring with our girls and possibly trailer our motorcycles for day rides. Awesome Event, Weather, roads, Cars and people.

To be technically correct that was Porsche Escape in Eureka Springs. Porsche Parade is a summer event, much larger and with competitive events. This year Parade was in Salt Lake City and in 2013 it will be it Traverse City Mich.

Eureka Springs is a great area and the folks up there know how to put on an enjoyable event. Understand the weather was even Chamber of Commerce perfect.

The weather could not have been better. This was our 6th (or 7th??) Palooza (this year Escape) and usually it is so cold that we are all running around in jackets and wool caps. The only problem was the wind, but that was something that we could all live with. The one 'hiccup' all weekend was the car show when only 6 of the 22 996's registered where there for the show on Thursday and the Boxster's and 997's (grrrr....) were relegated to the upper level of the parking lot. Because of that Kelly Shipp, the official photographer, couldn't get a good overall car show shot. Oh well..... that was the only gaffa so it was a GREAT WEEKEND! I can't complain... we drove up in the 993 and won our class in the people's choice. I TOTALLY was not expecting that!

So glad y'all had a great time. Maybe you'll make it back for the PCA Palooza next year. Same weekend, same hotel, SAME ROADS.....

The picture of the two 993's together (belonging to us and 3healy) was taken just before a small group of us got together for a short memorial for our Rennlist Buddy Chuck Sertich. Chuck was promised that he'd be at this years Palooza and 3healy to that. Some of Chuck's ashes arrived safely strapped in the front seat of the 993. He even got to sit in my car too. IT was a sad end to a great day, but at the same time it was wonderful that one of Chucks wishes could come true.

I know of a totally rustic place to stay of you want to do that. Cabins on a small private lake called Lake Lucerne. We stayed there for my B-day and it was so peaceful and family like. We loved it.

I hope we get notice thru you guys on this forum of the next event. Not a PCA member, but this sounds like a great "retreat."

You do NOT have to be a PCA member to do the Palooza, so I am looking forward to seeing you up there next year!
There were a lot of Palooza regulars who skipped attending this year just for the same reason, they are Porsche people but not "club' people, and since they were not PCA members they chose not to join and therefore couldn't register. I have a feeling next year will be huge too with the regulars returning and the PCA people who enjoyed the event for the first time becoming Palooza regulars themselves....

I promise I'll let everyone know. We'll be up there in the 997 next year too
