I guess Porsche doesn't approve of "Run Flat Tires" ?

this was my solution:







It's the 996 turbo collapsible tire. Doesn't take too much room and the wheel is aluminum, so the tire weights nothing...

Porsche AG has long felt that run flats are a substantial compromise when it comes to performance and added weight. I doubt that we will see a Run-Flat tire on a Carrera unless something substantial is done to redesign them.

ebay... $79 plus $49 for the foam insert with the jack and wrench. can't beat that!
