Default 997 - Bose and Non Bose speaker - Same connector ?

Hi guys,

My Porsche 997 Carrera S (2005) has two front door speakers which are blown.
its a NON Bose sound system.

I'm not a big music buff but the blown speakers are too much annoying , so I'm looking for replacement speakers.

1. I found a place to purchase the Bose front Loud Speaker but I'm not sure it will fit?
- Does the Bose and Non Bose speaker have the same connector ?
- Does anybody have experience with the sound quality of such installation ?

2. Any other recommended replacement speakers? I would like to keep the original look and connectors.

Thanks!

I'd buy the same speakers from a Porsche dismantler (aka junk yard).

They may fit, but may not sound that great. Is the place local to make sure it fits?

Is there absolutely no audio coming out of the speakers? I had no audio coming out of the driver side (smaller speaker) and center speaker.

Thought it was a blown speaker, but the dealer found it to be a wire that was crimped.

Bose has different connections from looking at the PET parts list. You would be better off going to a car audio place and just buying to speaker to fit in the door. They'd sound better than Bose anyway.
