I'm not the OP, but can't resist...
I- the M3's engine is bloody fantastic in terms of noise, responsiveness, powerband. Oh god, that noise it makes when you nail it & the hood vents open up to grab more air as you're shredding up to redline. The downside of the engine: gas mileage is atrocious. Horrible.twisted logic

Glad to have gone with the 997. One drive was all it took.

31.2 MPG
So my battery died and Porsche got me a jump start and my original MPG of 12.2 on the dash went to 00.00. I drove to the dealer and I decided to drive in 7th gear in fast lane at 72 MPH and the mileage kept going up and up. Go to the dealer and I averaged 31.2 MPG! So now my thought after I pick up the car is to drive like a madman (As Always) and see how low my MPG can get. God I must be bored!
