TPMS intermittant failure - Porsche doesn't replace under warranty!
On my 2007 C4S with CPO, I still got one year left of warranty.
A few weeks ago, one TPMS failed totally and the whole system went down. Took it in, and they replaced one TPMS, and the whole system came back up... now, the other rear TPMS is failing to read off and on. In the mornings it has no reading for 10-15 mins, and then it's usually 6 PSI off from my own measurement (all others are 2 PSI off).
I took it back in, they tested and said "all three have weak signal and low battery", BUT, Porsche won't replace them until there's an actual fault code in ECU! I argued quite a bit, but they said no, they won't cover, and we don't get paid so cannot replace.
This means, I gotto wait for EACH ONE to fail individually over the next year and take it in three times potentially.
Anyone else has had this issue resolved? To me, if TPMS is off by that much it warrants a replacement and since all are weak, makes sense to do them all.

Is Canadian CPO the same as USA CPO? I recently had all four of my TPMS changed covered under CPO. My service advisor said that in August of 2010 Porsche changed what was covered under the CPO and if you purchased after that date it was covered, but before that date you were out of luck.

Yes, it's the same. It is covered, BUT they need a fault code they said to authorize a replacement.

I can speak for my dealer in terms of replacing all based on battery life when there is an issue with just one, where taking care of the customer came first. Unfortunately, we were just audited by Porsche for the first time in many years, who in turn charged the dealer back for a number of questionable reasons, so this may change... I would contact PCNA.

My dealer replaced the passenger rear sensor about 5 months ago w/o CEL... it would read too low initially then work correctly after several miles. So a low battery on that sensor. I wonder if this is a new policy re TPMS recently. BTW, I purchased my car in FEB2011.

Same problem with my 07TT. I have been to the dealer 4 times now. I just to live with the issues until it shows a fault. PURE BS!!!
If anyone calls PCNA let us know what you find out.

Perhaps video (youtube), send it to the p-dealer as definitive proof of an issue, then send to PCNA.

I asked about doing that and they say the ECU has to show a fault code.
I dropped it of with the Red ! showing on the dash. They have seen all the tire pressures go to all dashes but there is not fault code. So, there is no repair. VERY VERY frustrating. I guess I am going to have to bite the bullet and buy all new sensors and hope that will fix the issue.

Plan B then... there are various threads re TPMS replacements. Suncoast has a set for ~$440 or perhaps your GM friend would be willing to cut you a deal. http://www.suncoastparts.com/product//TPMSensor.html

Here's something else to remember when swapping TPMS sensors...don't keep the old ones in the car when you are resetting the system.
I kept on getting a "flat tire" message as the system was learning, and I kept on trying to reset the TPMS.
Finally, the computer sent me a message, "there are too many sensors."
It didn't say there are too many sensors, "dumb ***", but that would have been appropriate , and I realized that the mechanic had put the old sensors in a bag on the floor, and the system was reading the older sensors.
