2011 997S question

I agree that's not a good discount.
The car's age means it already has a lot of depreciation in it, and the worst of the depreciation are the first couple of years.
Even worse is the fact that it is "new" but has 100+ miles. How many test drives has this car experienced? How many of those times involved the car at high revs without the proper break-in period?
Has the car been a loaner car for the dealer?

Whether by design or not, the car was in effect a demo. Assuming 10 miles per test drive, it's safe to assume that this car has been driven hard on 10 occassions . Of course you can get an over rev report to rule out any range 3 or higher ignitions.

You can't even buy a used, titled in someone elses name, with a few miles 2011 911S for the $75K that people keep mentioning as a starting point.
As far as DI goes and the many documented carbon build up problems, they are limited to a few specific brands of vehicles and is related to how they set the engine up. There are not really enough DI Porsches with any miles on them to know if the Porsche product will be plauged or not.

There's a link to the car on the prior page. I haven't talked to the Dealer, so I dont't have a DME report. Since it's not a CPO, I would doubt that they would have one. I expect they would run one for a serious buyer.

So they're listing it as used. Sure it's never been titled? As far as the listing price going up - perhaps they made an error in the listing. After all, they seem to be prone to making those kinds of errors...

Just as a point of reference I bought a 2012 997.2 S Cab at the end of June that was new too. It had a sticker of $110,775 and I bought if for $88k. Not that it matters all that much but the car had 17 miles on the clock. Go see the dealer on the last day of the month with cash in hand. Ideally a half hour before closing time.

Timing is everything. With the Labor Day weekend and end of the month coming up, now might just be a good time to make a deal. Here is an example of a deal on a 2011 997 4S Cab.
