Smile Just joined the PCA

I just joined the PCA, and the very first message I get from them (the local chapter) is an email inviting me to a wine tasting tour, followed by a polo match on the Brandywine Polo fields this Sunday!

Good. I am glad that some areas actually do something besides eat! I have occasionally been invited to a meeting (to buy a meal) but that seems to be about it.

I just joined 3 weeks ago and my region has a gimmick tour whatever that is. There's 2 hours of driving so I might go and take the ball and chain with me or a better looking future ball and chain. j/k

Hey Guys, Glad to hear folks are joining PCA. GREAT group of folks. I know our region is very active and rich with events. The DE's and gimmick rally's are my favorite. I am not so sure on the concurs competition, last time I spent 4 days and 6 evenings cleaning and I still got 4th place. Guess I forgot to shampoo the seat belts.

Well, you're a little too High Falutin for this crowd.

The local chapter here in AZ is very active.
DE events, and well organized rally's to Vegas, etc.
If you buy any parts at the dealer, you get 10% off. Doesn't take too many parts to recoup your $46....

Delaware Region is a great group of folks. They have a DE at NJMP coming up as well as monthly meeting (ie, social, dinner and a speaker) as well as drives, autocrosses, etc. Plus, Riesentoter is nearby as is Chesapeake. Welcome to the largest and best car club.

Every region is different. Some are really into driving events, while others focus upon the Whine and Cheese side of things. Some regions are simply too large and it is impossible to meet and get to know everyone. Some regions are there simply for show--just to show off their latest and greatest $$ toy.

The region is what you do to it and for it. Sadly, many elements of the PCA have been lost for others in the last 15 years or so.

Just joined Peachstate Region myself. Their (our) calendar is very active. They have regular DE, Autocross and Rallies. Rennfest is Labor Day weekend which is basically a 3 day get together with Autocross, Rally and Concours. Atlanta is also pretty close to the Carolinas Region and the Gulf (i think) that do a couple DEs in Atlanta and south at Roebling road. I think there are at least 5 DEs within 4 hours over the next couple months.

Wow, how about that, you just got a personal "welcome to the club" from the National President of the PCA! Very nice.

Good to see you here on RL Manny! Hope to see more of you around here. Don't be a stranger.
