Default Front lip spoiler

Has anyone installed one of these or have one on their car?
Thanks

My car came with one already installed. Don't know much about that particular one from ebay though.

Are you thinking about painting it or keeping it black?

That part is more spoiler than lip. It mounts underneath the bumper. (Photo copied from a RennTech forum posting.)

Part # 997 505 557 00 available from your local dealer, it is a spoiler to help the air escape from the center rad duct, the rectangle openings behind the spoiler in the pic above.

I would assume only cars with factory center radiator would have this from the factory, but i could be wrong

Mines got it, no centre radiator. Not sure if it's from factory or not...

Yes, that is the same part. You have one on your car. Go look at it.

Is that part (997 505 557 00) really needed? Mine scrapes on the driveway twice a day and a few of the tabs are ripped, so i need to crawl under there once a week put it back in place. I was considering buying a new one, but maybe i don't need it at all. Thoughts?

gt3tek had a sale on their front lips - it looks ok. adds a bit of downforce and does not reduce front clearence by much.

Does anyone know if that little rubber spoiler down there is needed? It is part # 997 505 557 00.

I had mine rubbed off finally after several years of cumulative scrapings so I just gave up on it. (I replaced it once). I discovered that the 991 model does not have anything like it on theirs so I figured I could do without it, particularly since I am rarely in higher speed ranges since I left Germany. I believe them to be common to all 997.1 cars (and probably 997.2) with or without the center radiator. It does something, but I sure don't feel a difference between having it and not having it.

(If you really want one, go look around medical buildings, particularly where there are high parking lot chocks. Doctors probably lose them regularly--that's where I found my spare).

LOL

So that's what happened to mine? I bought a replacement a few years ago, lost mine somewhere...
