Have fun! I did DC to Boston (and back) via backroads recently. It was awesome!

Shell, Sunoco, and Mobile have 93 Octane. These are usualy where I go for fuel. My first preference is Shell.

Try to fit in the Kankamangus Highway through NH. You wont regret that ride.

After your unemployment runs out in the U.S. they issue you a radar gun.

In NY the formula is 10% over the posted limit. That is 5% error for the police and 5% for the driver. If you are faster than that you are fair game. I don't know about VT or NH. I met a NY Trooper who took one of your boys directly to the judge outside of Rochester, NY had his hearing and paid the fine and then had his car towed (at owner expense) to the border so he would not speed in NY again. He was bored and doing around 120 (190 for you guys) when spotted and stopped. Typically, the fastest drivers I see in NY are always with ONT plates. I am sure the police know about you. Lots of web sites about speeding and countermeasures or you can just drive normally and keep up with traffic.

My advice would be to wait until October if you're going to visit Salem Mass. It becomes a completely different town during that month. Especially in the latter half.
