Louie. What is a cdc? Compact disc changer? What is the part we're looking at?

CDC is the cd changer in the frunk , the part i put there is to close the fiber optic loop as the dension has two fiber ports if i plug the one that goes into the cdc that leaves one port open wondering if it has to be closed with the above part .

I believe you can just hook up the fios to the Dension from the connection to the CDC, you may have to take the connector apart to reconfigure, no big deal.
There used to be various ways to hook up the older Dension units, originally, bypassing the CDC, connecting instead just to the Dension.
Do a search, many threads on install, I have done 3 installs,2 frunk and 1 inside the car.
Check out the units at bumper plugs, also directions there.
The plug you show is to close the loop, where are you tapping into the loop if you close it, for the Dension?

All done , removed the cdc the fiber plug from cdc fits right into the dension i taped into the power connection that was feeding the cdc , now i just have a usb drive on the dension still debating if im going to run the ipod ,iphone cable into the glove box sames to be a bit of a pain to run it into the cabin , we will see i know for sure i would have to get an extension cable for the ipod as its not long enought .

Feel free to email me with any questions. Not sure if you bought from us, but we do provide extensive install and setup info.

And...we now have the newest Dension 500S BT in stock (shipped first units yesterday)!

Sounds like you have it running well, but email me anytime.
