Default What does this sound like?

I get in the car to start it sometimes (maybe every 4th time....nothing regular) and I get no sound....like the clutch isn't all the way down.

In fact today I got a quick message to depress the clutch pedal. it is depressed though. Sometimes it'll just catch and sometimes I reclutch, focus on stepping all the way down and it works.

Sound like something you're familiar with?

Thanks in advance.

Ignition switch. It's the one that prevents the car from starting without engaging the clutch pedal.
I guess your car has it too :

Seems there was a bad lot of switches, my 10 GT3 had one!

Vist the workshop, should replace it for free.

If you want you can check the switch and see if it's being triggered when the pedal is depressed. The pic below shows approximately where it's located, what it looks like, and how I "fixed" it on my 996 and Boxster S so that I didn't hear the damn thing clicking everytime I worked the clutch......
