Default Oil pressure question... and Whoa!

First the "Whoa": I've had my C2S for about 2 and a half weeks now and tonight, at a light, with no one in front or behind me, I put my right foot all the way to the floor for the first time. I only took it up to about 70mph, but holy sh*t! I thought I'd laid into the throttle before (and had been excited about the acceleration) but going WOT is a wholly different thing. Amazing.

Anyway, on to my question. On page 96, the owners' manual states:
With the engine warmed up and running at a speed of 5000 rpm, the engine oil pressure should be approx. 3.5 bar.
My oil pressure is WAY above that. When I'm at 3000 rpm, the pressure gauge reads about 4.5 bar, and during normal driving I'm regularly close to 5 bar (i.e. the top of the gauge). In fact, 3.5 bar is reached when I'm around 2200 rpm or so.

Is that a typo in the manual? Is my oil pressure fubar? Am I within tolerances? Is this something to worry about?

Nothing to worry around. In this case, more is better.

When you went WOT was the engine hot with the oil at normal operating temperature? If not (colder) the oil pressure would have been higher and engine wear higher too.

She was all warmed up. The oil pressure thing has been constant since the beginning. But if Edgy's right, then all is well...

my pressure hovers in the 5 bar area for much of the time. Only when really warm and idling at a light does it drop down to the 3 bar area. I feel good oil pressure is a good thing. You need the pressure to keep the engine lubricated. Your experience sounds "normal" to me.

You should do that a few more times with sports mode button depressed. You'll notice that the engine will rev much quicker the last 1000 RPMs up to redline. You should get used to this characteristic. I'm sure this throttle map has caused many a rev limiter to kick in for a mark on the DME. A good mark to have n a regular basis to some.
