I just drove my friend/colleague's 991S with PSE, PASM and PDCC. PSE is an absolute blast. The car feels so much more alive and there is the constant cackle from the exhaust on downshifts. I ordered mine with the same performance options except the PDCC and i cant wait. Different car from 997 though. No question about it. Makes me want to keep both.

Chaos,
Here are the pix. I live in the mid-south..so its a long way off for your friend. Anyway there it is.

I got to tell you 991 and 997.1 are two very different cars. I am tempted to keep both. I think moving from late 997.2 PDK car to 991 is probably easier. But my 07 Targa with manual gears still has such raw sports car feel no matter how you drive it, it is going to be missed.

Like many of the reviews has said, 991 comes alive only when you want it to, and above 5000 rpm. Rest of the time, it is a smooth GT with a great exhaust note.

If you like raw take a spin in a WB 993 with M030 suspension and modifed exhaust.

Silver is classic. Sounds like you're going after some serious performance so top it off with an audacious, bold color statement.

Crazy that you should say that... cause I would never own a silver or grey car. That's why God made all these wonderful colors for everyone to enjoy.

I prefer something like meteor gray, but thats me. I like the dark metallicish gray colors. I will have to say that the red looks great too, I am just not a red fan.

I am new to the porsche world but have wanted one since I was little. I am more fond of the turbo looks.

Wondering what makes you choose the "S' over Turbo or other opions? Thanks

I could go either way but have a soft spot in my heart for the clean, unmolested 911 body without wings, gills, air intake scoops and such. C4S for example. Turbo body without all the theater.

No disrespect, but I never understand why people ask others here about what color Porsche to buy. Anyone putting down $125k for a new car should figure out what they want and not worry about the huge variety of opinions there will be here. We all have our own tastes, but the buyer is the ultimate decider, since the color needs to make the kind of statement the buyer wants to make.

By the way, it sounds like a wonderfully optioned car, and should be a blast, no matter WHAT color you get.

Thanks guys and especially fskof for pix of Guards Red on black wheels. Looks awesome. I am undecided., If I keep my Targa, it is GT Silver for sure. if i trade it in, I don't know sure. GT Silver with Black Wheels will look good too.

I know it's overdone, but white on black wheels is money.
