Anybody try to add more lights to our pcars. Im thinking cna we add something similar to the turbo's bumper lights and connect the wiring straight to the battery so we wont have to go through to computerized system of the car

That's always a big mistake. When you are lighting with substantial wattage you better be designed around a robust circuit with appropriately sized relays, fuses, etc. My question for you is where will you host the lamps?
Are you really out-driving your headlights? The Bi-Xenon equipped cars have incredible lighting. I have yet to outdrive my Bi-Xenons at 160 mph.

Hi edgy, thinking more of the aesthetic side of it. I like the small round lights the turbo has at the side of the bumper. The lights are ok and yes the bi xenons provide enough lighting. Having the small lights will look good and lighting them up beofre actuallu using the mains appeals to me. Probably place them at the sidesof the center opening in the bumper

Unfortunately, those side fogs on the 997TT hardly can put out any reasonably decent lighting. The days when we would run Cibie auxillary headlights on the hood of the 911 are past. It's just not needed any longer.

Totally agree edgy. Todays lighting technolgy has gone a long distance from the old. Superior! I designed a few lighting systems for buildings and have seen the aestetic value of a few lights placed in strategic areas in addition to the effect of turning on a few lights at dusk to provide that classy expensive feel. We are not talking of more lumens, we talking beauty by use of lights. Anyways i think so far it seems Like a humorous idea to most but will continue to toy with the idea. Thinking of placing lights behind the center grille works so that it wont really be seen but when its on at dusk provides that nice light. Of course these lights will be off when the main lights get turned on when night time comes.

If you have a 997TT, you can simply change your current front bumper driving lights with something like this. Instead of only have one led bulb coming on when driving, you have the full LED line coming on.
Look at the videos, they are superb:

Yup the center grille, but come to think of it, hmmm not too good an idea.nevertheless can we still put accesories that get connected straight to the battery with the switch linked to an accesories outlet? Just wondering if it will trigger any fault in any of the computers?

I would bet that you would cause some issues with the computers because these things are very sensitive to power drains. Obviously, you'll want to run the requisite relays to reduce the impact of the power changes to the system.
