I have the Hoen yellow fogs and have been very happy with them. They look great and actually perform well in foggy/rainy conditions.

I tried the Hoen white fogs (which more closely match the color of the OEM Bi-Xenons than the OEM fog lights) and they burned too hot and malfunctioned.

I wil take some pics tomorrow. Basically it is just a switch of the light bulbs. They will never be mistaken for xenons but they are super white. The oem bulbs are so drab. Trust me make the switch.

Regarding fog light use, ACTUAL use in daytime foggy conditions, why is BRIGHTER considered BETTER...?

In actual conditions of beneficial use Amber/yellow fog light bulbs will ALWAYS yeild better human vision. Fog light assemblies are designed for low and wide, "close in" lighting, not for BLINDING BRIGHTNESS.

I ran them on my E46 M3 and they were pretty close. This thread reminds me to order them for my 997.

I skipped a step--and went to the LEDs instead.

LEDs have good looks but they produce no light. when i run with hoen fogs on in a tunnel i have enough light to see road. from all i was told so far LEDs are nowhere near with light output compared to standard halogen bulbs.

Because they burn 10 times faster than any other quality bulb?

Just a thought.

i use them since 2010, so, it is 2012 now, so far no issues. plus, it is what, a $30 part? let it burn.

Terrible experience with them here.

If you want a quality bulb that actually works and is brighter (as opposed to just matching the Kelvin), try the newer Philips X-treme Vision.
Superb.
