I've been asked to display my 997 during the event on Friday to represent the 997 variation of the 911 series. They are trying to round up some air cooled 911's to display as well to show the evolution of the 911, but that's hard to do in winter in WI with salt all over the roads. I'm not sure anyone is insane enough to bring a pre-galvanized car out to an event in winter. But I'm looking forward to the event.

I was able to adjust the wheel height (was motorized for some reason), but in my fumbling, never figured out how to telescope it (if it can.) Regardless, the wheel was fine, it was the lower part of the dash that was hitting my knees. Telescoping the wheel might help me move back and flatten the angle lowering my knees, but it would probably put my legs at an awkward angle. I'd rather have the same clearance in the 991 as the 996 & 997, but it seemed to be lowered at least an inch.

Anyone else notice anything like this?

My dealership unveiled the car promptly at midnight tonight. Great event, even greater looking 991! Pics to follow.

Love the lines, the Panamera center console is very well done, seats are great, etc. It's a stunning 911!

Just yesterday I went into the Dayton dealership to order what it is sure to be the cheapest factory Porsche part I'll ever need to buy ($3.00), and just around the corner I see 2 991 CS butts showing. They were fresh off the truck ("gift" wrapping and all). The sales guy saw me and invited me to sit in it and play around a bit. I asked to start it, which all alone was more exciting than it should be for a grown man.
