Default Emblems

My car is white and the rear "Carrera S" emblems are white.
What's your advice, should I stay with that or what?
Thinking of the "PORSCHE" emblems.

My 09 has Carrera S too. Have you seen the just the "911" logo in chrome ( plastic ) its simplified and looks classy, but to each his own.

I know you can repalce the lettering in silver and "S" also comes in red

Looking at your car the 911 logo would look good.

Black emblems might look good on your white car, and would match your wheels.

Understated model designation stock or PTS (like yours) is the correct badge. In my opinion.

Not a fan of the "P O R S C H E" badge. Keep you white letters. If they get damaged. Remove completely, and run naked.

We have the new '12 variants, if you're interested, as well as nearly any other finish available for the stock emblems you have now. Red S perhaps?

Carrera S in black. Anything else is chintzy.

I agree, this would look good. You can always de-badge your car. That would look classy as well.

I painted my "S" red.

I think you should go with black for Carrera and red for the "S".

Here's a gloss Black Carrera badge with Red S we did on a Black 911:

And a gloss black Cayman S emblem we did for a white Cayman:

Another twist on gloss black and red S:

the tricky part is getting it on straight/centered

I thought I'd do the "right thing" in going to the stealership and having the pros do it.

wrong. looked like stevie wonder took to it so I had to get it off immediately (which left a lot of hairline scratches that did come out fine with a good detail job)

I have always marked mine with masking tape before removing the old scripts and they are very easy to align that way when replacing.

Good point - naked makes it more difficult! That's when you take the measurements off your buddy's car and then tape it off!

Assuming your bought this car used, because the original owner ordered it painted to match the exterior color (Carrara White). Don't change it. Understated is best.
