My offer arrived yesterday and I registered immediately! I was a little torqued to be left out in the cold, but now all is well.

I got a mailer w/ registration code. Just filled out the form online and now I will have one in a few weeks. Yeah!

You need an access code - but the URL is: http://thenextporsche911.com/991

I don't think it has nothing to do with the sales team submitting your info to the marketing department. I got everything porsche marketing sends out and I haven't bought any car from a Porsche dealership. Always a private party... now, I take my cars to the Dealer for big services items that I can't do myself and I take the extra 2 minutes to respond to the survey and make comments/suggestions on the required fields. Maybe that's what they take into consideration...

On Tuesday I received the same invite to register on that website. Looking forward to receiving the SWAG. FWIW, bought a CPO 997 last March.

I think I am on the sales list because I always sign up for stuff at their tents at events around here. They would love to sell me a new Porsche - so this stuff is certainly "marketing" towards people like me to help sell me one....not reward me.

Events I have "signed" up for more information: Petit LeMans, PCA Events, Test Drive @ RA during DE...stuff like that.

Got the invitation with my registration code yesterday. They already had my name and address, so why make me ask for it? Seems a little cheap.

Same thing here. I wonder if they charge back the local dealerships.

My guess would be to confirm that it is still a valid address and that you would actually like to receive this gift. I'm sure that there are a certain percentage of owners that could not care less about this.

(Probably the same folks that drive in the rain... )

Just spoke with the dealership last week about the new cars, so they should already know I am interested... Oh well.

This is true, but customers with close relationships with the dealerships should be at the top of these lists. That's just good business.

(Come to think of it, I did drive in the rain two days this week -- so maybe you are right...)
