New Owner saying Hello
Hello Everybody,
After having my 2001 996 cab for 8 years I must say it was a great daily driver. Racking up 92K trouble free miles it was time to say goodbye. I found this car, a 2010 4S at a local dealership with 7100 miles and in like new condition, CPO warranty, and exactly configured as if I had ordered it new... and then some.
6 months ago, I would have never considered driving an automatic Porsche, but I must say, I really like the PDK, especially in L.A. traffic. Actually, it's been hard to get the keys away from my wife, she wont drive a manual so she really likes this car.
She always thought the 996 was very "cute" when it was sitting in the garage. The funny thing is, last night I was flipping through some photos of the new car at the dealership on my computer, up pops a picture of the old 996 and she immediately said "Eww I don't like that one....WAIT, THAT IS YOUR OLD ONE"
As you can see by the pictures, we like white cars, except the 930, that one is definitely the "black sheep"
So there you have it. I'm looking forward to my new daily driver and hanging with you guys on this board.

The garage looks cool too! Although, I can't make-out the pictures hanging on the wall... Looks like a football team on the left and a woman on the right?????? (I often digress)

Wow very observant Todd! The football team was my High School glory days. The woman on the right is a poster for "Alias" and "Lost". I worked on those shows and had the cast sign them for me.
Jay H - the options are as follows:
Full leather, PDK with sport chrono, nav, heated/cooled seats, carbon fiber multifunction steering wheel w/heat, bi-xenon lights, park-assist,auto-dimming mirrors, BOSE sound, clear bra and tint.
The only thing I will be adding is red belts which are on their way.
I'm loving this car.
As far as the 930 stripes, I had those reproduced exactly as originals and have sold a few on the 930 fourm.
