Installed Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires
My 2010 C2S came with Pirelli P-zero tires from the factory. As has been my experience with Pirelli tires, the rear tires were already down to 3/32 of tread depth and were beginning to get louder at only 7,600 miles. While they still had some useful tread left on them, I figured that the tires had only 1,000 to 1,500 "reliable" miles left on them.
Late Wednesday afternoon I had 4 Michelin PSS tires installed on my car. While I haven't driven a lot of miles on the new tires, so far I like what I feel and hear. They ride a little smoother and are quieter than the Pirelli, as one would expect from new tires. It will be interesting to see how these tires play out over time.

I'm curious as well. My PS2 rears are being replaced, as I didn't want to replace all four when only the rears needed replacement, but when the fronts go it'll probably be time for all four. The PSS are a couple of lbs. heavier than the PS2's, and I'd be curious to know how you like the new combination (e.g. is it enough of a difference to notice?).

I've had mine on since the summer and all seems good. They seem possibly a bit of a harsher ride but It's hard to really tell with the weather being cold and the rubber being harder. It's all subjective.

I'm running re-11s with approx 9K miles and I have lots of tread left. Not sure when they will need to be replaced, but Im going to try the PSS next - just t try. Keep us posted as you put more miles on the tires. The re11s replaced a set of PS2s.

Has Porsche released N-rated PSSes? If they are OEM for the 991, I'd assume that Porsche would (or will soon) but that they may be limited to the 20" tires for the 991 and not the 19" tires that our 997s require.
[NOTE: Reading my message before posting it, left me with the impression that there were a lot of numbers, abbreviations and acronyms. I was hoping to be clear but I fear I may have slipped into jargon. If so, I apologize.]

I attended a Cadillac CTS-V track event two weeks ago. A gentleman from Michelin was there to talk to the group about tires. I took him aside and asked him if they were going to N-rate the PSS for the 997. His response was yes, they're working on it. But he works with Cadillac, not Porsche, so we might have to take that with a grain of salt.
FWIW, the 991's I saw at the LA Auto Show last month were all on Pirelli tires.
I'm now running PSS's on my GTS. I'm on my first set of front tires and second set of rears. They seem to handle better and ride as well or better than the PS2's that came on the car. They're not N-rated but I'll be darned if I can see any problem.

I've been tracking my 997's for years in non N spec tires. You do not need N Spec tires...just make sure the size and load rating is with in spec. Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires are an excellent choice for a Porsche.
My GTS came with Pirelli P Zero. They are doing fine with wear and great in the rain.

The PSS is quieter and smoother riding.
