PSE on (loud) all the time ....... but just 1 side
I am having problem with my PSE lately seems like the ON/OFF only works on 1 of the mufflers.
Car has the "ashtry mod" done already,
1) When in ON (loud) mode
Driver side muffler has exhaust gas exiting from both tips
Passenger side muffler has exhaust gas exiting from the only Outter (larger) tip
2) When in OFF (quiet) mode
Driver side muffler has exhaust gas exiting from both tips
Passenger side muffler has exhaust gas exiting from both tips
thus I think its the driver side that is broken (not switching).
Question being where should I check for the problem, at muffler or at the solenoid? The solenoid is controlling both muffler at the same time via a "Y" thus its probably not the solenoid unless there is blockage in one of the hose. My last fear would be something broke inside the muffler.
what do you suggest?

There are two valves that change the airflow -- clearly one of the two is acting up. (I think that's why the default setting is OFF while most of us run it ON--it forces the cycling of those valves with each trip--which is mechanically a sound thing to do).

Are you refering to valve in the muffler or the actuator outside of the muffler or the solenoid in the engine bay?

The solenoid is working, since it controls both mufflers. Therefore the problem must be in vacuum system to the driver's side muffler. I'd look at the vacuum tube connections on each end (at the solenoid and at the muffler), and look at the diaphragm and related linkage on the muffler. If everything is working, then there may be a problem internal to the muffler which I would assume would require muffler replacement.
