Default Do I need different wheel spacers? (see photos)

Your opinion wanted. These are photos of Carrera II S 19" wheels on a C2S (narrow body) with 7mm spacers in the front and 15mm in the back. To me, it looks like the rears are sticking out just a hair, and the fronts are sunken in a bit. What do you think? Any opinions appreciated.

my opinion is that the fronts are sunken a bit but that should be the case. the fronts should not be too out as this would cause rubbing on hairpin turns on speed. the rears are out definitely. i also put spacers on my C2S also with carrera S 2 wheels. used 7mm all around. very happy with it. just brings the wheels out enough not to look to aggressive. mean yet still classic.

dont really know if it makes sense but having the same spacer width all around will keep the balance intended by Porsche front to rear. Porsche recommends max of 5mm all around. different size spacers might create more oversteer or understeer...

People who put on spacers more often that not also lower their car which will get the wheels tucked in a bit more than stock height due to suspension geometry. I think it looks fine, but would look even better lowered about an inch on adjustable coilovers.

i think it looks fine. You dont want the fronts to stick out too much as debris will thrown against the paint.

BTW your fronts are 8 in wide. I have 8.5 w/ no spacers and its flush.

I guess you could try swapping your spacers front to back on one side (15mm on the front and 7mm on the back), just to see how it looks to you.

Rear are sticking out way too much...looks odd to me...you can decrease the spacer or add around -1.7 (no more) camber to the rear and -1 or right around that to the front since that is right at max for PASM.

I appreciate the input from everyone. It sounds like the best thing to do is to replace the rear spacers with the slimmer 7mm and just deal with the slight gap in the front.

Looking at your car I think the vertical gap is a bigger issue than the horizontal issues. For stock offset wheels, 5mm spacers up front and 7mm rear gets everything almost exactly flush. Then you drop it 1.25" and it all comes together just right.

What are your alignment specs?

For stock PASM car this will help drivability and the issue with the rear offset. I suggest this alignment and it will pull the top of the rear tire in some.

FRONT
-1 degree camber per side
.5mm toe out per side

REAR
-1.5 degree camber per side
1.5mm toe in per side...if your shop uses degree use around .14 degree toe in per side

Also like Sandwedge in the post above mentions the drop of 1.25" will pull it all in for looks. But check you alignment specs now and if you have -1.5 rear camber then don't do anymore than that and go with the 7mm spacer.

Also just so you know...these cars from the factory are not aligned very well so I highly suggest a professional alignment to exact specs per side. Find someone that will take the time to do this correctly...usually the Porsche dealer is NOT the place to go for this.
