Default beltronics rx65 mounting

currently have this unit. have it mounted on a bean bag that sits on the dashboard. have no real problems except that it is there. i tried to mount it where a lot of our brothers here mount their V1's but the beltronics unit has a detector on top of the unit and if i mount it near the top of the windshield headliner blocks that second detector. just fishing for ideas where some have successfully mounted this unit without sacrificing any of its features

I have the same unit as yours and this is where I've had mine forever in several cars. No issues and no tickets since I bought it. Lots and lots of ample warning though so if that top detector you talk about is actually there, it must not be critical to the overall performance.

i will give it a shot brother. the manual mentions the top detector is for the rear radar hit.. i guess that not being used too much and like you mentioned has not affected performance. could be a marketing gimmick

agree that's the optimal place. you can position it a little lower if needed.
