Quick question on car rental in Cali. Which company would have a decent car to rent? I got corporate rate with most but not sure who's got the best cars to rent from? Hertz, Enterprise, Budget or else?

I've had decent experiences with Hertz. In my experience, their cars are lower mileage and in good condition. They have some higher end models available but they are not worth the price premium, IMO.
