It's hard to make out but here is my current front plate on my Genesis.
All I did was take the OEM license plate to a sticker shop, have them scan it, and make me a couple of sticker plates. From 10' away you can't even tell. At first I would avoid driving next to cops etc for fear that they would notice but they haven't in 2 years 26K miles. I don't even think about it now.
As a bonus, radar and laser like the front plate as the reflection point and w/o it, it is harder to get a valid reading.
On a 911 however, because of it's lines, I'd go w/ the tow hook mount or a Euro plate.
It's raining right now. If it stops I'll pull the car out of the garage and get you some more pics.
The Bracket is attached along the back black aluminum piece as well as on the 2 bottom "feet" using a special high strength type of dual lock (3m). Believe it or not, it's the same stuff I use to attach my bindings to my waterski. The stuff is insanely strong, yet not impossible to remove.
BTW; I used the factory plastic piece, the one that would normally get drilled into the bumper. It provided the correct arc for the plate.
Just took delivery of 2012 4GTS and I had the dealer installl a tow hook mount. I notice on the Skene design that air intake gets blocked. Maybe not a big deal.

Had the same initial concern when I used the Skene design. But it is very adjustable - up & down, tilt, etc. After several track sessions I have had no air flow issues or overheating. I do not have the center radiator though.
Here are some more pics. When IO tool the long shot I saw that the plate is slightly askew.
I have allowed for full adjustment with the bracket design. I'll fix as soon as I can. (Now that I've seen it, it's killing me.... lol )
Skibum - Well done ... looks nice. As for askew, hard to tell from the pics but is it a center line or a horizontal line problem? If it is a center line you should have a small plastic ridge in the center under the top opening of the bumper cover. Use a colored piece of tape from that centerline ridge up through the Porsche badge on the hood. From there you can get deadcenter. Like I said it is hard to tell and you are probably a more harsh critic, but I can understand and appreciate wanting to get it right!

I've been researching this issue with front plate for awhile and so far, I like the Skene option.
They have a full gallery on their website that shows different adjustments and placements. http://skenedesign.com/FPBracket/Gallery.shtml
