Default sourcing a bolt threaded like a tow hook?

I want to clobber together a temporary mount for a flip cam for the front bumper.

Anyone know what the spec are on this? diameter/thread etc...

It doesnt look like something I can get at the local homedepot - they have nothing approaching that size.

Thanks

just as an idea - why not to use tow hook itself and bolt camera mount into its opening?

Such a bolt came with the front license plate mount. You might find the threads on who sell those, and ask if they can tell you where to find, or supply you with the bolt. The one I got the whole kit was like $38 put together by someone who is a member, so I imagine he'd provide you with a bolt if you asked, for not too much.

saw a GT2 at the track with this set up - the holder was welded to towhook and the cam simply snapped/secured into it. very clean and professional. looked great.

This is what I do what I have to do what you have in mind.

Take the actual tow hook piece into a hardware store (metric, mind you!) and find a nut that fits it. Then find a nice sized BOLT to bit that nut. But the bolt. Put back the nut. Done.

I bought the rennline tow hook last week along with the go pro adaptor! Excellent craftsmanship and great fitment. Can't wait to shoot some new footage
