So been hunting for a 996tt after selling my 964 with no luck. all seem to be beat on etc. Love the 997 look, but few questions.
-how do they compare driving wise? I know the tt is faster by numbers
-want c4 worth it for c4s?
-2007 and newer are the motors more reliable then previous m96 blocks? This really concerns me buying a car then having an IMS explosion.
-want to spend mid 50's and under in no rush and feel the values will get hurt slightly when the new model comes out.
anything else I should look for? or know?

Ok love the 997 looks and the performance of the 996tt just can't make up my mind but the IMS issue does scare me only because my budget doesn't allow me to get a CPO car so if engine goes is my dime.

Get low mile 997.1 C4S with manual shift and buy ext warranty that covers IMS failure. You can still stay in budget and enjoy the are Porsche sports car experience. Stay away from automatics.
