Default What Kind of Clay Bar

I'm looking to buy my first clay bar. I've read that some of the synthetic clays are better for doing the windshields because they don't get stuck in the pores of the glass. Any recommendations.

Griot's garage carries a glass cleaning clay and a paint cleaning clay and I've used both and would recommend it.

Haven't found a whole lot of differences in clay products. I've used Meguiar's and Zaino's and they work pretty much the same.

Quick tip: you can use a mix of one part car wash solution and 6 parts water with a spray bottle as the clay lubricant--rather than using more expensive spray detailer.

I use EZ 1 Clean Cut on the paint and glass. It is a chemical rubbing compound for clear coats. Not abrasive. it polished everything off. Very easy to use. Buy it at paint supply shops

This is an excellent clay combo.

Get the medium one as it's the safest and most effective.

One tub has three clay discs and they'll each do about 5-8 clayings...excellent value.

Let me know if you have further questions.

I have used this product and it is amazing. It took a ton of rubber off my bumper with no problems and it smells GREAT!

Adamspolishes.com has good videos to show you how to detail just about about any part of your car. Their bar and products are pretty good.

Some people recommend this and some don't. Many of the glass shops use 0000 steel wool to clean glass. I have cleaned my windshield with it, works great. Just don't rub too hard.
