My bad. I got what you are saying. I'm ok with 80+ extras because you would write me a receipt for $45 (as is) right??? That would save me $6650 in "bureaucracy" sne me details if your serious cory@morelco.com

Apparently I can not. Will post something later if I have time. Off to play golf now and late for my tee time.

So if I compared cars without the warranty the final cost would be...

Option#1
$65,720 (including 6% Duty)

Option #2
$69,000

Are the options and less miles worth $3,280 for a Canadian car?
While a CPO warranty is transferable, I am assuming that car #1 is in the US with a PCNA CPO, and you are taking it to Canada. Before making a decision based on the CPO warranty, I would strongly encourage you to verify that CPO warranty with PCNA will be honored by PCL.

Good luck with your purchase!

I'm going with the 2006.

I talked to the dealer and the last owner and I feel really good about the car. The dealer can do a couple things so I have about 4k in taxes so I'm good to go. No deposit or bill of sale yet but I'm hoping to get it done on Monday.

I will keep you all posted.

(fingers crossed)

100% the right decision. Option #2 was by far the better deal. People NEVER buy high milage Porsches, so lower miles is more important than one yr old... also it's Canadian car, and has some better/more unique options.

ENJOY. I was in the same boat, took me many months to find what I was looking for, but I wish I just bought the first good car that came my way, so I could enjoy it more.

Congrats... you made the right call!

Hey Frontside, don't know if it makes a big difference for ya but hhhhm the import tax is 6% so on $64K that's $3840,-.... not $1720,-

There's also these options...
wait until the 991 has been out for a few months and get either 997 at reduced price.
Or get a 997 TT at a few more than what your budget is now.
Or get a 991 for a lot more... but brand new...

Oh choices, choice GL!

Psycho- your right. I new it was 6% and I have no idea where I got that number from. It's actually 62k without the warranty.

I'm just waiting to here back from the dealer and should know for sure tuesday. I'm confident in my decision and hope it all goes through. Started making room in the garage and am looking for a place to store my other toys. Already started shopping for some accessories to!! (wheels/nav) and will click "buy" as soon as the deal is done. Probably going to store the car till march when my son is 4 and I can put a booster in it. I will drive my wife's old Suv for the winter and sell in the spring. We will see if I can hold till then. Doubt it!!
