997rich - no focal shifting. just a little "fake" effect in Photoshop using masking and blur.

It's a powdercoat with clear gloss on top - came out fantastic. My local dealership hooked me up with a great price for all 4 and just could not pass it up. highly recommend.

Powdercoating is what I'm interested in as well. Who did yours and are they open to doing another set? thx.

Anyone know how long powdercoated rims will last in terms of paint finish?

Also, since they heat the rim during application process, I wonder if that affects material properties. Its such a common mod nowadays that I dont think its an issue

Forgot to add, nice new look.

dfw997, off topic but may I ask what suspension you have because your ride height looks great.

Tito - thanks. I have the H&R springs added to the otherwise stock suspension. Stock 18" wheels and tires as well. Harshened up the ride a bit but it's a sports car, right? The ride height now, in my opinion, is what it should be from factory.

USMC - Park Place Porsche in Dallas did mine. Park Place is hands-down the best dealership group I've ever come across; ever. Definitely give them a call - they do tons of in-house services like wheel repair/refinish, etc. 214.525.5400. Ask for Justin Nevitt - he's my Service Advisor and is fantastic.

Thanks DFW... Justin at Park Place Porsche was very knowledgeable. That's a nice deal you got on the wheel powder coat and repair. Sounds like you're getting good service up there in Dallas.... Unfortunately, I'm stuck with Roger "Chesly" Porsche here. Will be making a trip to Dallas in OCT for the A&M/Arkansas game and a wheel p-coat/repair and some minor servicing to try out PPP.
