Default 997.2 C4S Engine Air Filter Change Help

So, following the simple guide in one of the thread here (https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...r-filters.html) I removed the 8 screws, only to find that the upper cover wouldn't budge on the passenger side. It appears that for some reason, on my airbox, the grey box with two wires is attached to the upper, not lower, part of the airbox. I tried unsuccessfully to wiggle the wires and the box itself free, but didn't want to apply any force without knowing the proper way of removing that assembly. Crappy picture from my phone included bellow. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Un clip the plug from the air box then wiggle the plug connector off. The hoses on the conne tor will not slip off. I think they are glued on so do force them...just lift the metal spring/ ring up and wiggle the electrical connector off.

The Grey unit SLIDES out...I believe toward the rear of the car, or rather toward you...not too easily, but it does. It DOES NOT snap away from the housing as in prying it away. THis was the only hassel I had changing mine.
