Default Deer hit

Hit baby deer at about 55 mph. Will need at least front bumper, turn signal/foglight, and RH fender. Drives fine. Looks like crap. Goes to the shop on Monday or Tuesday to be put on the lift for any mechanical damage.

Was pretty mad, but no one was hurt. Hard to say this but, it is only a car.

I feel for you; but, I'm glad it does not look serious.

Good luck with the repair.

Baby deer are delicious. Was the carcass recoverable?

Sometimes it's tough to maintain perspective but you managed to do it. Best of luck.

You are absolutely right...it's only a car.

Glad you weren't injured.

Suggest the right headlight be replaced as well. Impact can have affect internally.

My biggest fear on my weekend runs, hundreds of miles away from home.

Sounds like the deer was hurt. If you hit a child at 55mph and no one in the car was hurt in the car would you say the same thing. Humans!

Sorry, glad you're ok. Lot's of deer in my area too. Just last week, foggy morning cruising along and thought occurs that it's a good time for deer to be out. Slow a bit for one of my favorite turns instead of charging it as usual and at turn exit there's a full grown one in the middle of my lane. Got on the binders without incident but at speed it might have been different. Porsche gods were talking to me, I guess. Good luck with your repair.

Luckily dodged two last evening. I went between them, one ran to the other side of the road, the other back into the ditch. God, they are tough to see in the ditch before they hop onto the highway! And they do alot of damage, too. Sorry to see your car's damage but it is all fixable........
