Default GTS Oil Consumption

Hello Guys,

Was curious as to what fellow GTS owners are seeing for oil consumption.

My GTS has not consumed any oil in the first 2000 miles, still pinching myself

Break-in has been spirited.

Nearing 5k on the odometer (six months), down one notch on the oil meter.
Have not added oil yet.
This is similar to my experience with my 2006 S.

My GTS is just over 5K miles, purchased 2/28 of this year. In that time I've done 7 track and 3 AX days, and used roughly 1.5 qts. of oil. Like UncleJosh I would consider that to be "spirited." The first track day was done with 1K miles on the car.

Hopefully you have had the oil/filter changed at the end of break-in?

That GTS is one fine looking car and I'd love to have one. I'll wait to buy one used though but in the meantime I want all you GTS owners to take good care of my car while it is in your hands!

Sincerely,

Macster.

What does the sign sticking out of your sunroof say?
(Sorry. Couldn't resist.)

Very nice looking car.

I know you'll think me a sicko but I'd like to see a pic of that 90 liter gas tank. I dislike (but only mildly) my Turbo's 64 liter gas tank.

Sincerely,

Macster.

The USA cars are 67 L, I asked my dealer if I could get a euro 90 L optional tank and could not get it........I think it has to do with DOT regulations

No 90l tank? Darn it. Guess I'll have to settle for the car's other considerable positive attributes and outside beauty.

FWIW, and probably not much: When I looked into a GTS I was told the car could be ordered with a 90l tank for the USA market, but I never of course followed through with an order to confirm this.

Anyhow, enjoy your GTS.

Sincerely,

Macster.

No additional oil needed for first 3000 miles. Did an oil change last week so will see how it goes ( now at 3300 miles)

Great looking Porsche. Love to hear about owners doing the early oil change thingy! Very smart.
