You may find that a bad back may occur when pushing the car out from the garage in the middle of the night , as not to wake the wife !

if you can find someone you can trust to drive your car, tail it in another car. Watching the rear wing automatically come up when picking up speed and then go down on braking is truly a treat i did that the othe day with my wife driving the 911.

By golly, I forgot that evolution. I haven't parked in quarters that tight in years, but you're right. The way the glass leans inward on any modern car makes it almost impossible to get in without opening the door further than we'd like in a tight parking place.

Clarkson's Top Gear review of the 2005 C2S where he claims his knee hits the seat memory around turns is a pure fabrication for laughs. The seat memory functions are disabled when traveling over a few miles an hour.

Just discovered that the side view mirrors lock in folded position. When you push the mirror toward the window just pull up on the red tab. I'm sure it's described in the owner's manual.

Tell me something I should know about the car that a person wouldn't be able to know without being a avid 997 lover.

For example, using BMW as an example: If you hold the unlock button on the key fob long enough the Windows will go down (when unlocking the car).

The radio is particularly baffling. Pushing the Preset Button it toggles through, don't hold this against me, A, B and AS or something like that. After locking in a station the display sometimes indicates the station call letters and sometimes it doesn't???

A list of 997 unique features......
I have a brand new 997.1 Owners Manual I'll sell you for $20. I can put it in the mail and you can send me a check after you get it. I had the same issue so I ordered a new one from Suncoast then the dealer shipped me one so now I have two. You'll need to order the PCM (Radio Nav) manual separate. I also have a PCM and a Owner Manual for a 997.2 brand new. The idiot dealer gave me the wrong manuals when I picked up the car. I was just fix'n to put these online to sell when I saw this post. PM me if anyone needs these manuals.

This is the one you need.

What's the difference between actual and indicated? Are there two speed sensors on the car? Why display a different speed on the dashboard to that seen by the sensor?

Probably the same thing as airspeed and groundspeed on an airplane. Indicated is the speed relative to the road. Actual is the speed relative to the air. When the wind is blowing the two are different. Makes sense since as an aerodynamic component the wing only cares about speed relative to the air.

Improves your zero to sixty time and the highway patrol will write you up for 79 instead of 81. Winning
