Besides, the article clearly based it's claims on well grounded, peer reviewed research. Trumps your wife picking the car and all that anecdotal stuff.

btw, what is the track record of keynsean economics applied in full force? Thats right- the great depression and the great recession. So many parallels between the two its worth writing a paper on. way to go socialists.

Nonsense. Having an expensive car simply means you arranged for some cash to be given to the owner or dealer so you could drive it away. Nothing else. You may have earned it or borrowed it or inherited it or stole it. It has nothing to do with doing well in school, having a well paying job, being motivated or being curious about anything. It sounds prejudicial. Regarding fact from fiction...Much of our economy is based on fictional wealth such as folks driving cars they cannot actually afford, living in ways that are not sustainable. And, regarding Kensean economic priciples, Americans are much better at talking the talk than walking the walk when it comes to getting real with what needs to be done. Austrian principles sound great but in reality, it would result in such widespread hardship and would be dangerous for any conservative or liberal politician in the US to actually follow that path.

It sounds from your comments that your Porsche is a flashy display of feathers. For me, it is an excellent engineering ( I am an engineer)masterpiece I saved up for. ......looking for driving pleasure... not attention.

There are reasons why Ken drove Barbie around in a stingray vette. The psychology would be painfull to explore so lets leave it at that.

Thanks for the heads up...waht would I do without your instructions!

Typical liberal......wants to tell us what to do and how to do it and then does exactly what he criticizes. Liberalism is dead man....what will you do when you can't tell other people what to do? Hypocrites one and all!

Agreed, I never go there because you get dumb threads, like this one. I hate politics and people name calling each other.

I don't know. I figure that under the independents and conservatives I'll probably still be able to enjoy the fruits of my labors ten years from now. Under the current cabal, not so much.

Just a perspective from over the water, but distance counts for something when you want to see the wood for the trees. We in the UK think your current administration is further to the right than our own conservative-led coalition. I wouldn't panic yet.
