I just noticed that the coolant level is below the minimum level.
I check this right after driving the car. can anyone tell me what coolant i should use to top it up and whether i should do this after the engine has cooled down?
thanks a lot in advance

You can probably get away with just adding distilled water (if not too much). (E.g., less than a half quart). Porsche has a very nice high quality coolant that you could buy and leave on the shelf in your garage shoudl you need any more.
There are only two times that you should open that thing up--if it is hot, do it with the engine running. If it is absolutely cold, then you can do it with the engine shut off.

Also check your coolant cap for any "pink crust" at the bottom outside of the cap or on top of the reservoir. The latest coolant cap should have part # 996106447.04. If you have .01 or .02 buy a new one. The .03 never made out of production or to the parts bin.

Do not risk injury wait until the engine is cool before adding . ONLY add a mixture of antifreeze and distill water or better yet, add water wetter to top off coolant expansion tank.

I went to the dealer and bought a jug of concentrate. Just add distilled water and pour.
