My dealer, Porsche of Downtown LA, provided me with build date (May 3) and aboard vessel date (May 9), and now vessel name.

These websites keep me updated as the Grand Neptune makes its way accross the pond carrying "VW commodities" including my GTS.

After going through the Panama canal, the port of call is San Diego (June 6). From there, the cars are
unloaded and trucked to various dealers in the West.

Needless to say, I am monitoring every nautical mile.

Excellent. My dealer said on 4/25 that my GTS was built and on 5/1 said it was on a ship to San Diego. I wonder if its on the same ship that departed on 5/9.

I avoided asking him all the ship details as I didn't want to be monitoring on a daily basis, and would just wait for the call sometime in early June.

But you ruined that now. :-)

Looking further at your links. My car is probably on the Aquarius Leader due in to SD on 5/24.

Wonder how long it will take to get it up to San Jose from there.

Looks like my GTS just hit the docks in San Diego today. :-)

Anyone have any experience how long it would take to receive, clear customs, prep, and then transport up to Norcal?

I'm guessing (hoping) for 7-10 days.

Maybe you can find ID of trucking company and track last leg :-)

The time between port arrival and trucking the car to LA can vary with the times. When I was waiting for mine Porsche decided to do a full physical audit--and held up cars another week.

You will probably just get a call from the dealership within a couple of days of the port call date to say "come on down!"
