the Cayenne look fantastic and starter price is attractive and that shows in the sales. for the 911 sales increase... I can't understand as the new model is so close but why not I have to admit the m3 is getting old, same for the S5.

Getting better, but the "like models" (Box/Cay & the 911) still lagging below 2009 and well behind 2008 numbers. Cayenne has gotten a resurgence with the new version.

Y-T-D.........2011......2010.......2009.......2008

Box/Cay.......1,177......1,048.......1,333.......2,388

911.............2,095......1,846.......2,244.......3,102

Cayenne.......4,610......1,912.......3,201.......4,150

Sub-Total...7,882....4,806......6,778.....9,640

Panamera.....2,297......2,163.............0.............0

Total........10,179....6,969.....6,778.....9,640

Pre-owned ...2,846.....2,425.......2,202..........N/A

I'm wondering if the GTS is a part of the reason for the increase in 911 sales.

It's actually quite stunning how relatively few 911s are sold in the U.S.!
