Default GT3 RS 4.0 Video - Best GT3 ever? I tend to think so!

This car performs, looks and sounds just AMAZING!

I guess this is the last iteration of non-DFI engine with manual transmission in a smaller 911 frame (vs. the much larger 991)!

Probably is the best one of 997 lineup but still $185K+ msrp is impossible to swallow easy.
Those are all pricey toys for sure but, honestly, looking at 450hp rs car for $135K base price I can hardly understand why they decided to add whole 50 grand on top of that for pretty much same tub/engine that simply runs at its max potential. Still I think they will sell each and every one they will make, but, well, it is still too expensive IMHO. I WANT those GT3 cars to remain close to 100K mark so I could possible afford one. $200K car will be beyond my reach even if I will have that much money some day I still will never spend so much dough on a tin bucket with wheels.

Wow-what a car. I can honestly say I would consider selling my 2 P cars someday to pay for one of these (they will never be found at list). But by then, whatever is the current GT3 RS will be even better. My guess is that if we pulled up the posts every five years from the past, they would all be the same--things just get tweaked a little better, and we want THAT ONE! AND, we all are a bit pessimistic about what the future will eventually bring because of governmental controls, etc. So, ..., ahhh, ..., I want THAT ONE!!

Probably... but then again 991 is larger, would probably lose some of the agility of the smaller 997, while would most likely be faster with more HP.

Environmental measures may prevent some of the advancements and next car might have to comply with X and Y regulation and who knows what those might be!

I am more and more thinking 997, specially the special edition ones would be the next 993. 993 was last of air cooled engines, 997 would the last of pure gas engines!

Ofcourse, for a 600 production range, the price must be that high... but I think amongst the line-up of GT2, GT2 RS and evne GT3 RS, this is the best of the bunch, and much better value than GT2 RS. If you HAD THE $$, wouldn't you pay $50K more for this over a GT3 RS? I would in a hearbeat! As they guy said "it is as-close to a race car as a street car can possibly get!"

OR - it will get more 'middle engine' feel that will stabilize rear end big time plus will get 480hp motor with more linear pull. Who knows. Time will tell.

Pkus those who want 'small' tub do not run 997 anyway - they make custom builds using older 197x tubs and put modern engines into them.

I thought only wheel base will be larger, the car will still on the outside remain the same length and width.

Well, no one knows for sure, 100% it's confirmed wheelbase is gonna be larger, and from all other indications the whole car will be larger as well to make it slightly less rear-biased, since larger wheelbase and specially rear seat room would actually make it MORE rear-biased, so they need to compensate for it.

AND, remember the new design may have to accomodate any kind of hybrid technology they may want to add later--i.e. lithium battery location and storage, etc.

yes, bad A$$.
However, only the very skilled will be able to extract the xtra performance vs the GT3 RS.

I would love to have this car to fling around the track on track days.
